Do you do weddings?
Yes, I offer photography services for intimate weddings or elopements. But I like to keep it small, so I don’t do large scale weddings. If you need a reference, I am happy to give you one.
Do you do family photos?
Yes, I do small family photo sessions. However, my work usually focuses on individuals, couples & event photography. I’m glad to suggest an excellent family photographer if you need one for large family groups.
Do you have any discounts?
Sometimes. Subscribe to my newsletter below and you will receive an occasional notice about special offers, but in an effort to keep my work consistent, I don’t usually offer discounts.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am insured through Professional Photographers of America.
What is your payment structure?
I ask for a fifty percent retainer fee (non-refundable) at the time of booking. The remainder is due one week before your session. If you book less than one week before your session, the full amount is due upon booking.
Why do I have to pay before the photoshoot?
It is common practice in the photography industry. It holds your spot on the calendar and protects the photographer from non-payment. The client is protected within the contract where it states scenarios in which they are entitled to a refund (i.e. photographer illness).
Why does it cost so much for such a short period of time?
A typical photoshoot doesn’t last long for the client. However, a session includes much more than actual picture taking—scheduling, location scouting, invoicing, travel, editing, gallery compilation and delivery, as well as printing and/or commercial rights, and more. And I love my job! Thank you for your consideration.
Can I get a refund if I’m not happy with my photos?
I definitely want my clients to have a wonderful experience and be happy with their photos! My portfolio will give you a good idea of my style so you can decide if it’s to your liking. But in order to protect my time and resources, I don’t offer refunds. In some cases, a re-shoot is possible.
What is your cancelation policy?
Rescheduling is preferred. I hold session time specifically for each client and turn away other bookings in order to hold your spot. The details of my cancelation policy are within the contract and vary, depending on the services provided.
