Do you do weddings?
Yes, I offer photography services for intimate weddings or elopements. But I like to keep it small, so I don’t do large scale weddings. If you need a reference, I am glad to provide one.
Do you do family photos?
My work focuses on individuals, couples & event photography, but I occasionally do small family photo sessions. I’m glad to suggest an excellent family photographer if you need one for large family groups.
Do you have any discounts?
Sometimes. Subscribe to my newsletter below and you will receive an occasional notice about special offers, but in an effort to keep my work consistent, I don’t usually offer discounts.
Are you insured?
Yes, I have a Utah business license & I’m insured through Professional Photographers of America.
What is your payment structure?
I ask for a fifty percent retainer fee (non-refundable) at the time of booking. The remainder is due one week before your session. If you book less than one week before your session, the full amount is due upon booking, along with the signing of the photography contract, which guarantees your spot.
Why do I have to pay you before the photoshoot?
It is common practice in the photography industry in order to hold your spot on the calendar and to protect the photographer from non-payment. However, the client is protected within the contract where it states scenarios in which he or she is entitled to a refund (i.e. photographer illness).
Why does it cost so much for such a short period of time?
A typical photoshoot only lasts an hour for the client. But the photographer’s price includes not only taking the pictures, but scheduling, invoicing, location scouting, travel, hours of editing, gallery compilation, delivery of final images that come with printing or commercial rights, and more. Your thirty minute session is actually many hours of work for me, and I love what I do. Thank you for your support! I couldn’t do it without you.
Can I get a refund if I’m not happy with my photos?
I definitely want my clients to have a wonderful experience and be happy with their photos! First, take a look at my portfolio and decide if my style matches your taste. In order to protect my time & resources, I don’t offer refunds. In some cases, a re-shoot is possible though.
What is your cancelation policy?
Rescheduling is preferred. I hold session time specifically for each client and turn away other bookings to honor that commitment. My cancellation policy is detailed within the contract and varies, depending on the services provided.
